Corrupted Backup Data Detected (code 2514)

Situation

A restore plan finishes with the following warning: Corrupted backup data detected. Some backup data is corrupted in the backup storage. Restore can be performed only with enabled 'Ignore Missing Data' option.

Cause

This situation happens when some blocks in the backup dataset are missing or corrupted.

Solution

This restore plan will be set automatically to ignore missing blocks. This enables the replacement of missing data with zero values on the next restore plan run. You can now run the restore plan again to restore data that is not corrupted.
