VMware Tools are Missing (code 1922)

Situation

A VMware backup plan terminates with the following warning: VMware Tools are missing. VMware Tools required for quiescence are not installed on one or more VMs. View the list of VMs without VMware Tools below: with the list of virtual machines with absent VMware Tools.

Cause

The occurrence of this warning means that the listed VMs do not have VMware Tools installed which causes application-consistent backup failure..

Solution

Install VMware Tools onto virtual machines that are listed in the warning.
