TCP Ports Configuration

The Managed Backup Service employs a distributed architecture as displayed below. Functionality of the system relies on the uninterruped flow of communication between its parts.

In case a service (including Backup Agent, RMM Agent, Managed Connect, etc.) is situated behind a NAT, Proxy or Firewall, ensure that the client is able to communicate with the resources listed below.

IP addresses and ports associated with Management Console

Enable outgoing HTTPS connections (port 443) to the following IP addresses: 52.6.7.137 (MBS web site) 3.216.171.162 (Load balancing for MBS web services) 3.216.236.203 (Load balancing for MBS web services) 54.243.221.133 (MBS settings and authentication server) 52.5.40.159 (MBS backup and notification services) 52.20.40.101 (MBS remote management services for agents) RMM Agent specific: 23.22.223.86 (RMM services) 54.145.115.71 (RMM services) 44.199.146.63 (RMM services) 50.16.110.45 (RMM services) Connect Agent specific: 18.197.126.202 (European Union) 18.216.238.135 (United States) 13.236.247.175 (Asia-Pacific)

If you host your own storage services, it should be open for connection from the following IP addresses:

Access to the following Internet resources must be unrestricted:

The following executables should be whitelisted in local antivirus for Backup for Windows:

  • Online Backup.exe (or customized executable name corresponding to your "Product Name" set in branding options)
